Air-conditioner requirements vary by type, capacity, and construction. Window, split, ducted, and commercial systems should not be treated as one category.
Model and capacity
Match the unit type, capacity, voltage, frequency, refrigerant, indoor and outdoor units, brand, and model across the report, label, and invoice.
Energy efficiency
Current official sources reference SASO 2663 for lower-capacity air conditioners, with other requirements for different capacities or categories. Verify the actual product before choosing a test or label route.
Safety and IECEE
Review electrical safety and Saudi IECEE Recognition only where the product falls within the current official scope, together with SABER and marking requirements.
