Saudi requirements distinguish building lifts and their safety components from escalators and moving walkways. Product/component conformity must also be separated from installation, site inspection, and commissioning.
Complete lift and safety components
The lift regulation sets essential requirements for lifts and safety components. Define system, load, speed, use, drive/control unit, doors, safety components, manufacturer, and model. Assessment of one component does not automatically cover the complete lift.
Escalators and moving walkways
Escalators and moving walkways have a separate technical regulation. Identify design, use, capacity, speed, stop/protection systems, and safety components; do not use the vertical-lift route by default.
File and inspection
The file may include design drawings, calculations/specifications, component list, risk assessment, reports, installation/maintenance/rescue instructions, and data plates. Accepted-body inspection procedures may apply by current scope; verify product, site, and stage.
SaberVerify reviews classification, technical documentation and components and helps determine conformity and inspection routes. It does not install, inspect, or certify lifts.
