Pump requirements vary by pump type, medium, drive, and application. A domestic electric pump does not necessarily share the route of an industrial, submersible, centrifugal, or engine-driven pump.
Define the pump
Confirm pump type, fluid/medium, flow, pressure/head, power and voltage for electric pumps, material, use, brand, model, and manufacturer. State whether it is standalone or part of a system.
Machinery, electrical, and efficiency overlap
Machinery safety, electrical safety, hazardous-substance, and possibly category-specific efficiency requirements can overlap. Do not assume every electric pump needs an efficiency label or identical route.
File and tests
Evidence may include specifications, performance curves, test reports, drawings, materials, operating/maintenance manual, and data plate. Flow, pressure, power, and model must align with the report and invoice.
SABER and shipment
After HS-code and regulation mapping, review PCoC or the applicable route and shipment SCoC. Pumps for drinking-water or special uses may need additional material/use assessment.
SaberVerify supports pump classification, overlap and report/data-plate review, and SABER-route determination. It does not issue conformity certificates.
