Adhesive and sealant requirements vary with composition, use, substrate, and claims. SASO’s glue/adhesive regulation excludes certain products governed elsewhere, including defined construction/plumbing and medical uses, so scope must be settled before selecting a SABER route.
Composition and use
Review chemical form, hazardous ingredients, domestic/industrial/construction use, application method, curing, temperature, and substrate. The HS code supports classification but does not alone determine authority or regulation.
SDS and technical file
Evidence may include SDS, specification, appropriate composition statement, performance/safety reports, packaging/label images, and use/storage instructions. Product name, code, and composition must align.
Labelling and claims
Review warnings, ventilation, PPE, storage, dates where required, and manufacturer details. Fire-resistance, food-contact, medical, or waterproofing claims need separate scope and evidence.
SaberVerify supports use classification, SDS/report/label review, regulation-overlap assessment, and SABER-route determination. It does not issue certificates or approve claims.
