Is Your Current Test Report Suitable for Conformity Requirements?

Having a test report for your product does not automatically mean it is valid for use within SABER conformity procedures. The report’s validity is determined by several factors that must be reviewed specifically for each case before relying on it.

What Determines Whether a Test Report Is Suitable?

Among the most important factors: whether the report covers the actual model intended for export, or similar models within a clear scope; whether it was issued according to the technical standard required by the applicable Saudi regulation for the product; whether it was issued by a testing body whose scope covers this type of product; and whether changes have occurred to the product’s design or components since the report’s issue date. No single one of these factors alone guarantees the report’s acceptance — the judgment depends on the case’s requirements and the applicable pathway. Why Might an Existing Report Not Be Suitable for the Current Case?

A report may be correct in its content, but it may not cover the actual model or the required standard, its scope may not align with the product’s requirements and applicable pathway, or changes may have occurred to the product since it was issued. These differences cannot be resolved simply because a report exists — it needs to be reviewed against the product’s actual situation.

How Does SaberVerify Help Review Test Reports?

We review the available test reports against the product, the model, the standard, and the relevant requirements, and clarify whether there are gaps that call for an update or additional testing. When needed, we coordinate with an appropriate laboratory or testing body according to the case.

SaberVerify is an independent platform and does not conduct tests or issue test reports itself; this is done through the laboratories or specialized testing bodies according to the case’s requirements.
